Client for Linux is now available Valve announced today. Could this be the beginning of a new era in the game? It is too early to be sure, but Valve Gabe Newell told unequivocally that you are not satisfied with the direction Microsoft has taken its Windows platform, which ultimately led to its customer fast track steam valve for Linux.

Valve chosen to focus its efforts on Ubuntu, the popular Linux distribution available and probably closer to being a public distribution. You can find the Steam client in Ubuntu Software Center.
