A student was jailed for 56 days to post offensive comments on Twitter about the fall on the floor of the Bolton Wanderers footballer Fabrice Muamba.

"I have no choice but to impose a custodial sentence not to reflect public outrage at what you did.

"You have committed the offense while drunk, and clearly immediately regretted. However, you must learn to manage their drinking better."

After the original messages of Stacey, other Twitter users has strongly criticized. This led him to publish a series of racial slurs, offensive and some of a sexual nature, aimed at those who attacked him.

In mitigation, Gareth Jones, defending, said: "The first comment [he] was written on Fabrice Muamba He does not grudge and is happy that he is a good recovered My client .. just lost his head and published those nasty comments to both the bitter shame of himself and his parents. "

After
other Twitter users criticized Stacey, prompting him to write more offensive and racist comments, users complained to the police in Britain.
