There are many application developers out there who quickly discovers that there is a risk they face today: if your application is even remotely popular, you are a likely target for a group of patent trolls are feeding on the largest ecosystem of application developers with obvious broad patents concepts (even things like the load to be applied). This is a relatively new group called App Developers Alliance puts on a series of summits of U.S. patents to discuss issues relating to patents and application developers. I had some conversations with people who put these facts together and look like they should be fantastic resources for those who can not attend.

software patents pose significant challenges for application developers. Vague allegations, life cycles shorter than the review process PTO, trolls and general uncertainty products, threaten to stifle innovation and the application of industry growth.

In April, demand Developers Alliance will organize national events for developers to learn and share stories patents Lodsys letters, legal strategies and court costs, and their ideas about the reform of software patents.

Each event will include a panel presentation / description, followed by a discussion among policy makers, application developers, lawyers and other interested parties. Events include an open Q & A and reception.

You can visit the website to see when and where do the different heights.
