thousands of workers from Foxconn in China have gone on strike over working conditions associated with the production of the iPhone 5.

3-4000 employees left Foxconn factory in Zhengzhou Friday, according to China Labor Watch. He said Foxconn and Apple had "raised too strict requirements of product quality", without providing adequate training.

The strike comes just weeks after Foxconn was forced to close a plant in Taiyuan, when a brawl involving as many as 2,000 workers left a number of people requiring hospital treatment.

China Labor Watch, a rights group that monitors labor conditions in factories in China, said the strike occurred Friday after Foxconn and Apple introduced new quality controls, while employees Foxconn asked to work on a holiday.

"Foxconn raised too strict requirements on product quality, without providing worker training for skills. This has led to workers from products that do not meet standards, and finally, put an enormous pressure on workers "China Labor Watch said in a statement.

Most Foxconn employees who participated in the strike worked in the "line of quality control on the site," according to China Labor Watch. He said the strike meant iPhone 5 production lines were "in a state of paralysis during the whole day."

The organization said that Apple has been involved in some of the reasons for the dispute to go ahead with production requirements, despite the design problems. The quality of new applications included "rules slots of 0.02 mm and demands associated marks and scratches on the back cover" China Labor Watch.

said the pressure of new quality requirements, and workers are not allowed to take leave during a recent vacation, led to the strike.

"This strike is the result of the fact that these workers are just too much pressure," said CLW Executive Director Li Qiang.
Foxconn In September, he was forced to close a plant in Taiyuan, in north China after a massive fight. No fewer than 2,000 workers were involved in the violence, with images showing the broken windows and riot police at the site. Geoffrey Crothall, spokesman for the pressure group China Labour Bulletin, said at the time that Foxconn workers have been increasingly emboldened.
