Soca shuts 36 credit card fraud sites
operation by the Organized Crime Agency aims to make Grand Theft and use of stolen credit card information
Police arrested two men arrested and the closure of 36 web domains used to compromise and sell credit card data flow through a serious initiative to the Agency in the UK against Organised Crime (Soca), in collaboration with the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice.
The men, who were arrested earlier this week, data were suspected of large-scale commercial sites card, which specialized in selling credit cards stolen online bank account.
Soca said they use the platforms of the type e-commerce known as automated carts (AVCS) that allow criminals to sell stolen large amounts of data quickly and easily.
people trying to access these sites are now directed to a screen indicating that the Internet domain has been captured by police.
With the arrests, the United Crime Unit Dedicated Cheque and Plastic (DCPCU) has taken a series of computers suspected of being used to facilitate offenses under the Fraud Act
Acting on information from Soca, an operator based in Macedonia stroke was arrested by the Macedonian Ministry of Interior of cyber crimes Unit.
Soca followed the development of stroke and monitoring their use by criminals who support the card payment and online banking fraud in the world.
- The recovered data is passed to the UK and foreign financial institutions to help prevent fraud carried out against the bills and mitigate the impact of the theft of important data.
"Brand owners themselves have the primary responsibility to educate and protect their customers against the risks that go along with the advantages of online transactions."
