Indian Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap: 'Piracy Helps Deliver The Filmmaker's Message To The Masses'
The F ** k to Sleep
Buzz built copies without paying roaming the Internet. A former world record executive of the Bank states that "file sharing leads to more sales." Canadian rap star Drake follows leaks all over the Internet to get fans to listen and talk. That's because more people can expose their art, the better. But if you ask Hollywood on file sharing to get the alphabet in the answer: Soup, PIPA, E-parasite, TPP, ACTA. Piracy kills the film industry, period. contrast with this statement by the Indian director Anurag Kashyap, who works in a country where piracy is everywhere, not just a set overinflated numbers to greet members of Congress easily impressed:
in conversation about their experiences in Kanpur, where he spent part of his life while studying for the entrance examination NRC, the question is submitted the threat of piracy in the Indian cinema. But surprisingly, Anurag is one of the few filmmakers who feel that piracy is justified. "Main Hoon Kuch AAJ jo, piracy wajah hello ki hoon.
was through pirated versions of my films that people have to do my job " he said, continues to grow, " the impression that the film is something that should reach the maximum number of people. If the public does not get to see the film accessible, it will become cheaper, pirated entertainment
> Contrary to the hysteria that we are used, often confused with extinguishers and imitation pornography, piracy Anurag seen as something more than a necessary evil, but a real need. In other words, if your goal is to have your work seen by as many people as possible. Obviously, if your goal is rather to do everything in their power to ensure that every pair of eyes that come in contact with his work have paid in advance, then you will have a much dimmer view of file sharing.
All very good points. First of all, sometimes you do not have a legal option, due to licensing issues, the regional bloc, "you are all pirates," GEMA wants its cut, etc. But beyond logistics is the fact if you are an artist and you want to have an impact on people, you need to get their creations to as many people as possible.
Anurag is not, however, whether:
"If we see success in Hollywood today, we often take the help of piracy, because it is not necessary that the film is legally available in your city. This is why the filmmakers must understand that their work should reach the people more, because today, the film is not easy. In fact, I think that filmmakers should use cinema as a tool to make a strong impact on society.
And if people watch the film as important because of piracy, I think it helps only to deliver the message of the film for the masses
This is a filmmaker who works in a country where piracy is an absolute given, so the government has taken some very surprising in an effort to reduce, including locked filing and video sites to the ISP. Yet despite the massive, all you see is on the rise. He does this for a living and yet it is not wonder aloud where his microphone boom operator will get their next meal or say something stupid about a future full of videos of cats, while trying to merge file box office as the fifth horseman of the Apocalypse creation
