Wednesday, the FCC confirmed that it will begin testing a new database that will enable devices to operate in waves of white space, almost a year after the ratification of its first "Super WiFi" initiative. And yet there is no evidence that unauthorized broadband devices will be on the market short term, the FCC chairman, Julius Genachowski, seems confident that this white space spectrum could radically change the industry. "The dynamic range of spaces that enable a new wave of mobile innovation," said Genachowski. " It has the potential to overcome billion in economic benefits of WiFi, the latest version of unlicensed spectrum and to stimulate private investment and job creation.
