Smartphones have become an important part of the lives of many people every day, while systems based on vehicle information and entertainment are on track to become standard equipment in all new vehicles. Although there are some applications of smart phones that are able to interact with some self-systems, most of them were the main separate existences. The Consortium for automotive connectivity (CCC), however, wants to change that. The group, which contains the member companies of high-profile automotive and mobile communications, has established a new technical standard for bidirectional communication between the display panel and applications running on smartphones.
