One-time cell transplantation cures epilepsy in mice
Earlier this week we reported on neurological implants found to accurately predict the onset of epileptic seizures. But a discovery made by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) may one day be an obsolete device. By transplanting a particular type of cell in the brain, the researchers were able to cure epilepsy in adult mice, in the hope of similar treatment could work in humans ...
