Andrew Bridges Favorite Techdirt Posts Of The Week
my favorite set of the week is "war against Computing" comment, this is not exactly a unique story, but a comment, inspired by Cory Doctorow, by theme we see that the old laws or uninformed legislators not to follow the state of technology, security and communication. Some of these laws are similar to the prohibition of certain steps of the scientific method, or process of peer review. Chemin difficult to learn and improve systems, some of the greatest advances in technology resulting from improper use of an existing system. should not be the Wild West, but we able to manage that laws reflect current technology with reasonable consequences that reflect the prejudice and intent. calculation of War: What happens when the authorities do not understand the technology

were stories about Aaron Swartz tragedy and political and social issues that intersect broader him. I particularly enjoyed Mike Masnick summary, which examines some of the debates that took place in the week following the death of Aaron and juxtaposes events Freedom Day on the Internet. I feel bad that stand out as a favorite, because it replaces the list of favorite posts last week. As Mike Masnick said ??these not my favorite posts. far from it. messages are a lament for what we have lost, a plea to avoid further losses, and a glimmer of hope in this tragedy, true reform could flourish "Amen Brilliantly said a week later ... message also liked Tim Cushing crusade against Ralph Nader television and video game violence. think I sympathize with some of the concerns Nader, in particular the rise of "entertainment" to other values, and I admire his courage as a consumer advocate, but after Tim rightly considers that task hyperbole and lost focus. Ralph Nader is the first serious bid for "old fool" and refers to the position of the game as "electronic child Molestors
