postheadericon Garmin multi-sensor controller concept replaces touchscreen interface with in-console dial rig

Garmin is in the early stages of their navigation path on the roads of the highway portable GPS information and entertainment in the car, but the company seems to be in the right direction, the direction of compact center dedicated to the permanent care arrangements and facilities of the board. The latest development puts more emphasis on improving control systems, signaling a potential starting point of the touch screen to mount a multi-controller allowing adjustments and minimize distractions. The system combines a proximity sensing controller rotary showing the appropriate interface with the approach of the hand, with a touchscreen and a variety of selection buttons with features that vary depending on the current menu. Besides the obvious GPS module, the system will allow the HVAC control, vehicle control and integration of applications, including smart. The multi-sensor controller is still in design phase - the project has not even been named yet - but it seems a practical solution for vehicle interfaces in the future.
